Prof. Dr. Ali BEBA
Mr. Beba has over 30 years of international professional experience, both in the academic and in the private sectors. In the last ten years, he concentrated his activities in solving regulatory compliance matters, environmental and educational problems challenging especially International companies and institutions with intentions of entering into the Turkey.
He served for the international organisations such as UNEP (Nairobi, Kenya) as well as in different American and Turkish Universities.
Mr. Beba started his industrial career, at the same time as he obtained his full professorship, with Procter & Gamble. He served (1988 – 1992) as the professional and regulatory services manager of this company during which he closely collaborated with the Turkish public authorities and Ministries as well as European and American regulatory authorities for helping the company to have a successful entry into the Turkish fast consumer goods market.
He was able to amend several Turkish standards that created great obstacles for introduction of several modern products during this time. While representing P&G in the industrial associations, he was elected as the chairman (1992-1993) for the Environmental Protection and Packaging Waste Recovery & Recycling Trust (ÇEVKO).
He, assumed the position of the Managing Director for the Turkish branch of the Rust Engineering Services Ltd.(1994- 1998) the subsidiary of the US Waste Management. Several million Dollars of business were created in Turkey until this company was recently sold in the international markets.
He also was the Managing Director for the Turkish Education Volunteers Foundation which is established to provide educational support to the Turkish public by setting up and operating educational parks and units with the state-of-the art teaching and educational tools throughout the country.
Mr. Beba, via Proje Geliştirme ve Uygulama Merkezi has been providing services described at “field of activities” sponsored by international financial organizations such as WB (IBRD) and EC, since the inception of this company.
